Gordon Wick, Owner
Owner Gordon Wick has worked in the propane field since 1991. A native of Omena, Gordie attended MSU where he earned a bachelor's degree in horticulture. He and his wife, Sheila, operate the business which is located just north of Omena. Before working in the propane and fuel oil business Gordie worked as farm manager for Cherry Home Orchards and still works as a consultant for area orchards. He was the head coach of Northport's 1988 state championship basketball team. In his spare time, Gordie can be found spending time with his family.
Sheila Wick
Sheila Wick is one of the friendly voices you'll hear when you call Bayshore Oil and Propane. A native of Jackson, Michigan, Sheila’s been coming to Northport since the late 50s when her family purchased a summer home here. Using her organizational skills to keep the operation running smoothly, Sheila’s typical day includes answering questions, troubleshooting with clients, inputting invoices and recording payments. Sheila attended Western Michigan University where she earned a degree in pre-kindergarten and elementary education. Before joining Bayshore she worked at Suttons Bay Schools and as a county substitute teacher. She served on the Suttons Bay School Board. In her spare time Sheila is an avid reader of murder mysteries.

Chris Stowe is Bayshore’s Distillates Manager, overseeing the gasoline, diesel, furnace oil, motor oil and hydraulic oil part of the business. He’s been with the company since 1991 but learned the business as a youngster working with his father Jim at Stowe Oil Company. Chris is responsible for home deliveries of gasoline, diesel, furnace oil and also arranges transport deliveries to area marinas and the Leelanau County Road Commission. His long-term experience in the business makes him a valuable asset in answering customer questions.
Garrett Korson has worked for Bayshore since 2010. He is a certified service technician for propane distribution and maintenance. He’s completed all the training classes required for his position and has developed a great knowledge of the business during the years he’s worked at the company. He’s skilled at setting up all types of propane installations from a typical home installation to a large system with multiple tanks. Garrett is a skilled mechanic and helps maintain equipment at Bayshore.
Adam Brown joined Bayshore in 2014 and has already completed the required classes for certification in handling propane. He’s known for bringing his perfectionism to his work – a real asset when setting up systems. Personal and approachable, Adam focuses on getting to know each customer and their needs. His friendly and respectful demeanor is often commented on by customers.
Laura Plamondon started in the fall of 2018. With extensive office experience, she is a huge asset and is a great addition to the staff. She can do just about anything she’s asked and is training with Sheila to eventually assume the office management.
